These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and My Ascendant Inc. ("Ascendant," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Ascendant daily reading service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Ascendant is an AI-powered daily reading service grounded in three classical astrological traditions. You provide birth data and, optionally, a photograph. The Service generates personalized readings using your astrological chart, classical source texts, and AI language models. All generated content is for personal reflection and entertainment. It is not professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. It is not an expression of the views of My Ascendant Inc.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to use the Service.
If you submit a photograph, you represent that you own it or have the right to submit it, and that you have the consent of any person depicted (or you are the person depicted). You agree not to use the Service to harass, bully, or target any individual. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract the Service's prompts, corpus, or generated content. We reserve the right to refuse service.
The Service offers a free trial period of thirty (30) days with full access. After the trial, continued access requires a subscription at the price displayed at the time of purchase. Payment is processed by Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; changes apply only to future billing periods and will be communicated in advance.
The Service requires your birth date, birth time, and birth location to calculate your astrological chart. You represent that the birth data you provide is your own or that you have the right to provide it. You may update or delete your birth data at any time through the Service.
You retain all ownership rights in photographs you submit. You are granted a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, share, reproduce, and display generated readings for any personal or non-commercial purpose, including sharing on social media. The Service itself, including its design, prompts, voice architecture, classical corpus, branding, and underlying technology, is the intellectual property of My Ascendant Inc.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that generated content will be accurate or appropriate, or that errors will be corrected. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. Astrological readings are not predictions and should not be relied upon for decision-making.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Ascendant Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or ten Canadian dollars (CAD $10.00), whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless My Ascendant Inc. from any claims arising from your use of the Service, your submission of photographs or birth data that violate these Terms, or your distribution of generated content in a manner that harms any third party.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Any legal proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, located in Victoria.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance.
