My Ascendant Inc. ("Ascendant," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Ascendant daily reading service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the Service.
Ascendant is a daily mirror grounded in three classical astrological traditions. You provide birth data and, optionally, a photograph. The Service generates personalized readings using your astrological chart, classical source texts, and AI language models. Readings are generated on demand and are not pre-written.
When you use the Service, you provide your birth date, birth time, and birth location. This data is used to calculate your astrological chart and is stored in your user profile to generate daily readings. You can update or delete your birth data at any time.
You may optionally upload a photograph for the portrait mirror feature. Photographs are processed in server memory and are not permanently stored. Image data is sent to a third-party AI provider for visual analysis and is discarded after processing. We do not build a database of user images.
If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication credentials. Authentication is handled by a third-party provider (Supabase). We do not store passwords directly.
If you subscribe, payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We do not receive, store, or have access to your credit card number or banking details. Stripe's use of your information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
The Service uses a single authentication cookie to maintain your session. This cookie is strictly functional. We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics.
Our hosting infrastructure automatically collects IP addresses (used for rate limiting, not stored beyond the active session) and basic server logs (retained for a maximum of 30 days for debugging and security).
We do not use tracking cookies, analytics platforms, or advertising pixels. We do not sell, share, or disclose any personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
The Service uses third-party AI providers to generate readings and process photographs. Birth data and chart calculations are shared with these providers only as needed to generate your reading. Photographs, when submitted, are sent to a vision model for analysis. No third-party AI provider retains your data for model training. Payment is processed by Stripe. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
Birth data is stored as long as your account exists. Photographs are not retained after processing. Generated readings may be cached temporarily to avoid redundant generation but are not stored permanently. Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days. Payment records are maintained by Stripe.
The Service is not directed to individuals under eighteen (18) years of age.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. If you delete your account, all associated birth data and reading history will be permanently removed.
